- Every Monday at 7am - starts on Monday 3rd June
- $15 per session - Bring a mat,or towel and water bottle

A warm Glastonbury welcome to Carley from Become.Fitness to commence weekly BootCamp sessions at our Glastonbury Recreation Grounds (opposite the Hall).

This one-hour session is designed for all ages, genders and fitness levels and is a great kick-start for winter.  Need more info DM Carley direct.

After the Grand Opening, the Glastonbury Community Tennis, Pickleball & Basketball Court will be open for the members to access until the end of June 2024. Membership is $2 per person annually.

Your GHRA committee has spent countless hours to secure over $200,000+ in grant funding, generous donations & fundraising activities to deliver this state-of-the-art court and supporting infrastructure for our Glastonbury & neighbouring rural communities to enjoy.
 
We request that everyone respects this valuable & irreplaceable community asset, as there are no further funds to replace or repair any damage.  FOR MORE INFORMATION  DM or email us.

Proudly supported by the Gympie Regional Coucil Recovery Well-being & Resilience Community Grant.

Our 'Glastonbury Connect' initiative is an initiative of the Glastonbury Hall & Recreation Association that aims to deliver 190 activities from July 2023 - May 2024.

Designed to concentrate on disaster preparedness, health and well-being, participation in sport & recreation, community engagement, and educational awareness seminars for new and/or long-term residents relating to the rural environment.

Queensland Sport and Recreation (DTIS) Community and Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program (CRARRP) grant success.

This vital grant has been awarded to repair and rebuild infrastructure at the Glastonbury Hall & Recreation Association grounds affected by major flooding in 2022.

This includes the tennis court, undercover area, water tank stand, toilet amenities, assorted equipment, plus a flood mitigation wall for ongoing resilience to divert any future flood waters.

The DTIS has assigned a Project Management Team to undertake the entire project with anticipated completion by end of this year!Shall keep everyone informed on timelines upon receipt.

Special thanks to the DTIS & Gympie Regional Council Teams for providing community workshops to share the availability of these extraordinary grant opportunities. Shall keep everyone informed on timelines upon receipt.

FRRR GRANT SUCCESS = FENCING THE HALL!

Enormous gratitude to the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR). 

Our rapidly growing region means increased traffic along Glastonbury Road. The priority was to source funding to provide a safe harbour for our children and the entire community during events at the Glastonbury Hall.

In collaboration with the Glastonbury Rural Fire Brigade, this #FRRR Strengthening Communities Grant has made the vision a reality.

Porters Earthworks Gympie have completed the fence providing a safe space for all members and their families that extra peace of mind when attending events at the Glastonbury Hall.

Thank you to our hard-working committee and the Glastonbury Rural Fire Brigade crew for their ongoing support to ensure our Glastonbury Hall can assist as a disaster hub during any future emergency situations that may occur.

We are extremely excited and beyond grateful to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for securing a facility improvement grant to repaint the interior and exterior of our beloved Glastonbury Hall. Painting is underway!

Our 'grand old lady' is celebrating her 103rd birthday this year and we have a variety of community events being planned for 2023!

Maintenance is a priority to continue to strengthen our famous Glastonbury community spirit. with a welcoming venue to gather, connect and engage.

Glastonbury Hall & Recreation Grounds are also available for hire.

Over 300 people attended our Inaugural 'Glastonbury Carnivale Fun Fair' on Saturday 26th November 2022.

It was so heart-warming to see all those happy smiling faces, hear the laughter and see the fun times being had. That is what getting the community together is all about!

The Glastonbury Hall & Recreation (GHRA)is a not-for-profit organisation that has been servicing the community since the early 1900s. The Glastonbury Hall was originally built in 1920. Incorporated in 1993, it is now the central hub for the Glastonbury community and surrounding residents to gather, unite and engage in a range of regular social events and activities for all age groups, cultures and abilities.

Located 15 minutes from the Queensland township of Gympie, our Glastonbury Hall is a beacon for community celebrations (and reflections) including hosting weddings. birthday parties, memorial services and regular community get-togethers, fundraising balls and social events.
